Born in Poole, Dorset, Pamela wrote poetry for family and friends from an early age, but her writing career really began when her first short story was published in 1984. From then on her stories were published regularly by the majority of women’s magazines in the UK. In 1990 Pamela attempted her first novel. Reluctant for Romance was published in 1991, closely followed by Romantic Melody in 1992. For eleven years, until March 2002 Pamela tutored Writing For Pleasure And Profit classes for the local Adult Education Service, with a number of successes among her students. She was also a Home Study tutor for Writers News for two years. Although she never stopped writing, after being widowed twice in seven years, Pamela lost confidence in her own ability for a while. A return to short fiction and seeing her stories published regularly again gave her the courage to return to novel writing. Making the decision to follow the oft given advice to ‘write about what you know’ – which in Pamela’s case is family life and friendships – was probably the best decision she ever made. Pamela now writes contemporary family fiction and has had a book a year published since the first, Widow On The World, was published in 2006.   Buy Now from Amazon PAMELA FUDGE Buy Now from Amazon Buy Now from Amazon Buy Now from Amazon HOME HISTORY COUNCIL MEMBERS MEMBER PROFILES MEMBER NEWS SOCIETY NEWS NATIONAL EVENTS COMPETITIONS REGIONAL GROUPS REGIONAL EVENTS OVERSEAS SECTION MEMBERSHIP FEES JOINING CRITIQUES WELFARE LINKS Back to Member Index
